Unveiling the First Module of our New UI Plus Two New Recommendations Widgets

As part of the ongoing cycle of innovation at Maropost Merchandising Cloud (formerly Findify), we are proud to unveil a complete overhaul of our solution’s User Interface. 

The first step of our ongoing platform transformation has now gone live – users will notice a refreshed dashboard within the Recommendations section, showcasing a brand-new look and feel. This update enhances the experience for creating and managing your store’s AI-powered recommendations, making it more intuitive and efficient. 

Alongside this UI upgrade, we’re introducing exciting new functionality with the launch of two brand-new recommendations widgets: Personal Recommendations and Trending Products

While this is the first major step, there’s much more to come. This is just the beginning of a phased overhaul that will gradually transform the entire platform. Future updates will continue to improve the flow and enhance functionality across all areas, creating a seamless experience that aligns Maropost Merchandising Cloud (formerly Findify) with other Maropost products.  

By ensuring UI consistency across the entire Maropost ecosystem, we’re ensuring a unified experience for both merchants and internal stakeholders. This change will bring cohesion to the Maropost brand and ensure that all products work in harmony – a consistency which is key for future scalability and integration.

Personal Recommendations: Tailored for the Shopper’s Journey 

The Personal Recommendations widget brings an enhanced level of customization to product suggestions. By analyzing each customer’s browsing history, the system dynamically builds a profile that evolves based on the products they engage with. As customers browse, the system continuously updates in real time, reflecting any changes in their preferences. 

A key improvement with this new recommendation is its ability to exclude recently viewed products. While these products are technically still relevant, the logic ensures that customers aren’t repeatedly shown items they’ve already seen. Instead, it prioritizes fresh suggestions based on their shifting interests, offering a more engaging and exploratory shopping experience. 

This helps customers discover new items they might not have considered, creating a more dynamic interaction with the store. The result is a more satisfying shopping journey that goes beyond simply recommending similar products to those already viewed. 

Trending Products: Surface the Products That Matter Now 

The Trending Products widget takes a different approach by focusing on what’s gaining traction in your store at any given moment. By tracking product view patterns over time, it identifies items that are trending – not just those with high overall views, but those that are actively seeing a growth in customer interest. 

This update uses two key scoring methods to rank products: Delta Ranking and Popularity Ranking. Delta Ranking tracks the growth rate in views, giving more weight to recent activity, while Popularity Ranking evaluates products based on recent view totals, applying a recency-weighted score. The combination of these methods ensures that only the most relevant and timely products appear in the Trending Products section, keeping the shopping experience fresh and responsive to current consumer behavior. 

By featuring products that are not only well-liked but also actively trending, shoppers are more likely to discover products they may not have otherwise noticed, especially those that are gaining momentum right now. 

How These Updates Enhance the Shopping Experience 

Both of these new widgets work to keep the shopping experience engaging and responsive to customer behavior. Personal Recommendations ensures that product suggestions are continually updated and refined based on the customer’s evolving interests, while Trending Products highlights the items that are rising in popularity, ensuring shoppers are in tune with the latest trends. 

For merchants, these updates bring real value by promoting the discovery of products that align with customer preferences, whether those preferences are shaped by recent interactions or broader market trends. Merchants can be confident that the recommendations displayed are relevant and reflect the current landscape of what’s gaining traction in their store. 

These updates not only improve the customer experience but also help merchants make their product offerings more discoverable in ways that go beyond traditional browsing behaviors. Whether it’s by showcasing fresh recommendations based on a shopper’s individual journey or surfacing products that are seeing the most momentum in the market, these features ensure that every visit to your store feels like a new, curated experience.
