A major new infrastructure development, our newly released Active Sync (which is a big data ETL pipeline built on top of the Apache Pulsar streaming platform) is set to revolutionize the speed of ecommerce assortment synchronization for Shopify merchants.
Utilizing Shopify webhooks, all product data is synchronized, and kept up-to-date, on an automatic basis. This includes changes to prices, products, metafields, and everything in between. Updates take place as soon as the merchant makes a change – with NO requirement for them to manually trigger a sync or wait for the scheduled event. Changes will be realized live on site almost immediately, and queued when changes made are large to ensure no updates are dropped. Our developers have built Active Sync in such a way that we only need to index the changes you make, when you make them. This allows for faster, more efficient synchronization.

Streamlining access with Shopify webhooks
Active Sync is accessible in a number of ways. Merchants with developer capacity can connect their store to the Product Push API while those that don’t their own developers can connect via Findify-created platform connectors – such as Shopify webhooks.
“In tandem with Active Sync, we have been working on creating a Shopify Active Sync Connector”, revealed Findify’s Head of Product Vsevolod Goloviznin.
“The new Active Sync infrastructure has been tested extensively during the autumn and the entire client base has now been upgraded. Webhooks will continue to be added for additional platforms but all clients can also already today utilize the custom Push API to enjoy instant updates.”
‘None of our direct competitors offer a faster product sync’
